Khusnullin announces study of route for delivering goods to Crimea through new territories

MOSCOW. Oct 10 (Interfax) - A study is underway on delivering goods to Crimea along an alternative route through the new territories of the Russian Federation, Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said during a meeting between the head of government and deputy prime ministers.

"The commission was instructed by the Transport Ministry to study the logistics of delivering goods to the peninsula. We have an alternative route through new territories," Khusnullin said during the meeting.

"About 500 km of roads have started being repaired and restored in the new territories this year, which we plan to complete in November-December," Khusnullin added.

The deputy prime minister said that 180 km out of 359 km of the alternative route are currently being worked on, and "Today, we can already drive safely along the roads," Khusnullin noted.
