ICRC temporarily reduces its operations in Ukraine for security reasons

MOSCOW. Oct 10 (Interfax) - International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) staff in Ukraine have temporarily scaled down the amount of assistance being provided by them and will continue to work from shelters until the security situation improves, the organization's press service said on Monday.

"In light of the security situation on the territory of Ukraine earlier today, ICRC teams have temporarily halted travel across the country and continue to work from shelters. The ICRC's humanitarian aid will be resumed in full as soon as the security situation permits. We are monitoring humanitarian needs in order to provide assistance whenever required," according to a report published on the ICRC's Telegram channel.

The ICRC Moscow delegation is continuing to operate as usual, the press service said.
