Russia continues discussing oil and gas swaps with Iran

MOSCOW. Oct 6 (Interfax) - Russia is continues discussions with Iran on the possibility of oi land gas swaps.

"We are already working with them [the Iranian side] along this vector, we are working on certain routes and mechanisms. This applies to oil and gas swaps," Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak told journalists at the II Caspian Economic Forum.

In late May, Novak said that Russia had discussed the possibility of oil and gas swaps with Iran, and in the near future the parties intend to reach a final proposal for the implementation of these projects.
