Three vessels heading to China, Italy and Turkey with Ukrainian foodstuffs aboard

NEW YORK, UN. Oct 6 (Interfax) - Three bulkers carrying 74,300 tonnes of sunflower meal, sunflower oil and soya beans departed from Ukrainian ports on Wednesday after receiving permission from the Joint Coordination Center (JCC).

"The Joint Coordination Centre (JCC) reports that three vessels left Ukrainian ports today carrying a total of 74,300 metric tonnes of grain and other food products under the Black Sea Grain Initiative," the JCC said.

The New Explorer vessel is heading to China with 60,000 tonnes of sunflower meal on board, the MRC Lina bulker is carrying 7,700 tonnes of sunflower oil to Turkey, and the Briza is carrying 6,600 tonnes of soya beans to Italy.

"Grains that reach a destination may go through processing and be trans-shipped to other countries," the JCC said.

"As of 5 October, the total tonnage of grain and other foodstuffs exported from the three Ukrainian ports is 6,194,548 metric tonnes. A total of 571 voyages (300 inbound and 271 outbound) have been enabled so far," it said.
