New EU sanctions on Russia include ban on technical items used in aviation sector

MOSCOW. Oct 6 (Interfax) - The European Union has published another package of sanctions against Russia, which includes a ban on the exports of certain commodities, among them "technical items used in the aviation sector," a statement published on the European Commission's website said.

It is unclear what items exactly are implied. The export restrictions "aim to reduce Russia's access to military, industrial and technological items, as well as its ability to develop its defense and security sector," the European Commission said.
