Third parliamentary party nominates Tokayev to run in Kazakh presidential elections
ASTANA. Oct 6 (Interfax) - The Ak Zhol Democratic Party of Kazakhstan following another two parliamentary parties has nominated incumbent President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev as a candidate in the country's upcoming presidential elections, an Interfax correspondent reported.
Ak Zhol adopted this decision at its congress on Thursday.
Ak Zhol leader Azat Peruashev said at the congress that the party will support the coalition of civil and political forces of Kazakhstan.
The Amanat ruling party and the People's Party of Kazakhstan earlier nominated Tokayev to run in the upcoming snap presidential elections.
