No excess ruble supply in Kazakhstan yet - minister

ASTANA. Oct 4 (Interfax) - There is no excess supply of Russian rubles in Kazakhstan yet but the country will take appropriate measures should such risks arise, Finance Minister Yerulan Zhamaubayev said.

"According to the available information, there is no excess [ruble supply]. If the National Bank sees any threat or the need to export this supply to Russia in one go or some other measures, we will have discussion with the National Bank," Zhamaubayev told reporters on the sidelines of the Cabinet meeting on Tuesday.

There are no regulatory thresholds that would urge response measures, he added.

Over 200,000 Russian citizens have entered Kazakhstan since September 21 when Russia announced partial mobilization.
