Ukraine initiates confiscation of number of Russian assets

MOSCOW. Oct 3 (Interfax) - Ukraine's State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) has sent the government a list of companies and citizens for consideration by the National Security and Defense Council to determine whether they should be sanctioned and their assets seized, the SBI stated.

Among them are: Gazprom Export (a Gazprom subsidiary), Mezhyrichensk Mining and Construction Complex and Nika-Tera Sea Specialized Port (both are part of Dmitry Firtash's Group DF), Pentopak (whose beneficiary is Savvidu Kiriaki), and Vinnitsabytkhim JSC (controlled by the Russian Nevskaya Kosmetika company .

Also on the list are Tatneft-AZS-Ukraina, Poltava-Capital and Kharkov-Capital, all founded by Tatneft .

The list of Russian-owned companies was formed after investigating more than 200 companies in various economic sectors, the SBI said.
