Three new independent directors join Qiwi board

KAZAN. Sept 23 (Interfax) - The shareholders of Qiwi elected three new independent directors to the Russian payment and financial services company's board of directors at their annual general meeting.

The new directors are Alexei Blagirev, former deputy head of technology company Sensorium; Alexei Ivanov, head of Aksioma and Green Energy; and Alexei Solovyov, founder of investment firm A.Partners, Qiwi reported.

Shareholders also re-elected three current board directors: Qiwi principal owner Sergei Solonin, CEO Andrei Protopopov, and Tatyana Zharkova, the former CEO of the Financial Technologies Association. The head of Solonin's "family office," Oksana Sirotinina was also elected to the board.

Shareholders also confirmed KPMG as auditor, and approved an amended company charter.
