MOSCOW. Sept 22 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 53,457 new cases of Covid-19 and 106 deaths from Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Thursday.

"Russia has recorded 53,457 new cases of Covid-19 and 3,719 patients have been hospitalized, down 13.9% from the previous day," the headquarters said.

The number of hospitalizations has grown in 30 Russian constituent territories, has decreased in 52, and has remained unchanged in three, it said.

"Another 57,019 patients recovered over the past day, down 4.5% from September 21," the headquarters said.
