Agreement on payment for 25% of Russian gas supplies to Turkey in rubles should start working shortly - Putin

SAMARKAND. Sept 16 (Interfax) - The agreement on the payment for 25% of Russian gas supplies to Turkey in Russian rubles should start working shortly, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

"As you know, our agreement on the supply to Turkey of Russian natural gas with the payment for 25% of these supplies in Russian rubles should start working shortly. The issue has been coordinated, and the work on that will take place in accordance with our agreements," he told Erdogan.

"We are ready to considerably increase our supplies to Turkey on all tracks that are of interest to you."
