Former WBD, O'Key chief Tony Maher leaves Detsky Mir board

MOSCOW. Sept 13 (Interfax) - Independent director Tony Maher has decided to resign as chairman of the audit committee and from the board of directors at children's goods retailer Detsky Mir, the company said in a press release.

The board of directors will elect a new audit committee chairman at its next meeting.

Maher quit as head of Progress, Russia's biggest baby food producer which owns the Frutonanya brand, on March 23, the Kommersant newspaper has said. He had chaired the Progress board of directors since the end of 2012. Prior to that, Maher led major dairy producer Wimm-Bill-Dann, which he left following its sale to PepsiCo. He later became CEO of the retailer O'Key.

Maher had served on the Detsky Mir board since 2018.
