Seven vessels carrying foodstuffs to leave Ukrainian ports for Spain, Turkey and Israel - UN

NEW YORK, UN. Sept 13 (Interfax) - The Joint Coordination Center (JCC) has permitted the departure on Tuesday of seven vessels carrying corn and wheat from Ukrainian ports under the Black Sea Grain Initiative, the United Nations said.

"The Joint Coordination Centre (JCC) authorized today the movement of seven outbound vessels carrying a total of 213,243 metric tonnes of grain and other food products under the Black Sea Grain Initiative," the UN said.

They are the Captain Dimitrios (65,000 tonnes of corn), the Super Saka (29,000 tonnes of wheat and 21,000 tonnes of corn) and the Fanaria (18,000 tonnes of wheat), all bound for Spain, the UN said.

The Propus (8,500 tonnes of corn), the Ata Ocean (6,300 tonnes of sunflower oil) and the Greifswald (492 tonnes of corn) are expected to head to Turkey, and the Yada Team vessel will deliver 64,951 tonnes of corn to Israel.

"As of 12 September, the total tonnage of grain and other foodstuffs exported from the three Ukrainian ports is 2,721,168 metric tonnes. A total of 269 voyages (147 inbound and 122 outbound) have been enabled so far," the UN said.

The Anadolu news agency said later, citing the Turkish Defense Ministry, that another seven vessels with corn and wheat on board left Ukrainian ports on Tuesday.
