Azerbaijani army firing large-caliber artillery weapons on Armenian positions near 3 cities - Armenian Defense Ministry

YEREVAN/BAKU. Sept 13 (Interfax) - The Armenian Defense Ministry has reported that Azerbaijan's Armed Forces are mounting intensive strikes on Armenian positions in three sectors, also using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV).

"At 00:05 a.m. on September 13, the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan opened intensive fire on Armenian positions in the direction of the cities of Goris, Sotk and Jermuk, using large-caliber artillery weapons and small arms," the press service for the Armenian Defense Ministry said.

The Azerbaijani army is also using UAVs, it said.

Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry, in turn, has said that Armenian sabotage groups tried to mine the Azerbaijani army's positions on the border overnight. Armed clashes broke out, entailing casualties among personnel, it said.
