Former Accenture division in Russian renamed Axenix

MOSCOW. Sept 13 (Interfax) - The former Russian division of consulting and information technology group Accenture , which was taken over by local management in the spring of 2022, will now operate under the Axenix brand, the company said.

"The new name was created with the participation of our employees. It partly includes the name of the bird the phoenix and alludes to the idea of maintaining continuity, rebirth and a new phase in the life of the company," Axenix CEO Vartan Dilanyan was quoted as saying in the press release.

The company has management to preserve its professional team, which has a deep understanding of industry specifics and can think outside the box to offer unconventional solutions to businesses, he said.

Axenix currently has offices and development centers in Moscow, Tver, Rostov, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar and Almaty, and about 2,000 employees. There are more than 150 new vacancies at the company in areas such as data analysis, information security, sectoral consulting, rollout and development of automated banking systems and others, Axenix said.

The company now has five departments: technology and systems integration; strategy and technology consulting; consumer goods, retail and pharmaceuticals; financial sector; and natural resources. The company said it plans to develop both areas that were established as part of its work in the Accenture network, and new ones such as import substitution of technology in Russian business.

Accenture announced in early March that it was leaving Russia due to the military operation in Ukraine. Ownership of the group's Russian practice was handed over completely to Russian management in April, and it became fully independent of Accenture's international network. One of the conditions of the transfer was that the Russian company be renamed within a month of the deal's completion.

The company is now temporarily operating under the legal name AxTeam LLC and plans to eventually carry out the registration actions necessary to rename the company in line with the new brand, Axenix said.
