Incumbent, acting heads of Russian regions reelected in gubernatorial elections

MOSCOW. Sept 12 (Interfax) - Incumbent and acting heads of 14 Russian constituent territories are winning in gubernatorial elections, now that 98% to 100% of votes have been counted, according to information on the displays at the information center of the Russian Central Elections Commission.

Incumbent head of Buryatia, United Russia nominee Alexei Tsydenov won the gubernatorial election by 86.23% of the vote after 100% of the votes had been counted. Meanwhile, Sverdlovsk Region Governor, United Russia nominee Yevgeny Kuivashev gained 65.78% of the vote, with 100% of votes counted. Udmurtia head, United Russia nominee Alexander Brechalov won the election by 64.37% of the vote; 100% of votes have been counted in Udmurtia as well.

As 100% of votes have been counted in the gubernatorial election in Tomsk, acting Governor, United Russia candidate Vladimir Mazur has won by 84.94% of the vote. Karelia head, United Russia candidate Artur Parfenchikov has gained 69.15% of the vote; 100% of votes have been counted in Karelia.

Novgorod Region Governor, United Russia candidate Andrei Nikitin has won with 77.03% of the vote; 100% of votes have been counted. All votes have also been counted in the Kaliningrad region, where incumbent Governor Anton Alikhanov gains 80.21% of the vote.

As 98.99% of votes have been counted in the Saratov region, United Russia candidate, acting Governor Roman Busargin gains 72.39% of the vote. United Russia candidate, acting head of the Vladimir region Alexander Avdeyev wins by 83.68% of the vote, as 100% of votes have been counted. Self-nominee, acting head of Mari El Yury Zaitsev wins with 82.44% of the vote, following the count of 100% of votes.

Acting head of the Kirov region, United Russia nominee Alexander Sokolov gains 71.85% of the vote, now that 100% of votes are counted. All votes have been counted in the Tambov region, where acting head, United Russia nominee Maxim Yegorov gets 84.95% of the vote. Acting head of the Ryazan region, United Russia candidate Pavel Malkov gets 84.55% of the vote, as 100% of votes are counted. Self-nominee, acting head of the Yaroslavl region Mikhail Yevrayev wins by 82.31% of the vote, as 100% of votes have been counted.

Elections of various levels took place in Russia on September 9-11.
