Halliburton sells Russian business to local management

MOSCOW. Sept 9 (Interfax) - Halliburton has completed the sale of its Russian operations to local management, the U.S. oilfield services company reported.

"As a result, Halliburton no longer conducts operations in Russia," the company said in a press release.

"The Russia-based management team now owns and operates Halliburton's former business and assets in Russia under the name BurService LLC, which is independent from Halliburton," the company said

Halliburton announced in March that it would wind down its business in Russia. It was reported in July that Halliburton Co. wrote off $344 million in the second quarter of 2022 as a result of the shutdown of its Russian business.
