Belarus may adopt law on parallel imports before yearend - minister

MINSK. Sept 8 (Interfax) - A bill on parallel imports is currently being approved by the Belarusian government and could be adopted before the end of the year, Belarusian Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Minister Alexei Bogdanov said on Thursday.

"A draft law on parallel imports in Belarus has been prepared, approved by all interested parties, and is in the approval process in the government. We hope that it will be adopted by the end of the year," Bogdanov was quoted as saying by Belarusian state-run news agency BelTA.

"Adopting the document will simplify the import of goods that have been prohibited from import into our country for sanctions reasons," he said.
