Moscow expelling Romanian diplomat - Russian Foreign Ministry
MOSCOW. Sept 8 (Interfax) - Russia has declared an employee of the Romanian embassy in Moscow persona non grata, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
"The Romanian charge d'affaires ad interim in Russia [Constantin Cosmin] was invited to the Russian Foreign Ministry on September 8 and presented with a ministry note, which declared an employee of the Romanian embassy in Moscow persona non grata," the ministry said.
The note says, "this measure is a response to the earlier completely unmotivated decision of Romania to declare a diplomat from the Russian embassy in Bucharest persona non grata."
