Wildberries aims to boost sales to 1.5 trln rubles in 2022
MOSCOW. Sept 8 (Interfax) - Wildberries, one of Russia's leading online retailers, plans to increase sales to 1.5 trillion rubles in 2022, company CFO Vladimir Bakin said at the second Plus Forum.
Taking into account the scale of the business, Wildberries is interested in creating a host-to-host system for processing client data, a channel of direct integration of the automated systems of corporate clients and banks, Bakin said.
"However, looking at the market we see that not every partner can handle such volumes. And due to this we have a lot of switching, the problem of switching from partner to partner. Based on this, we're already inclined to work out some kind of host-to-host system of interaction, where [we could] be kind of partners with banks, where we would be entrusted with client authorization, identification, where our telephone number identification, say, would be equivalent to the identification of the partner bank. And upon registration, authorization of a new user on the online platform, the whole list of payment systems could be accessible," he said.
"Ideally, we are now striving toward this world. There are very many barriers that, I think, we will soon overcome," Bakin said.
