Ukraine signs deal with EU to join Fiscalis taxation cooperation program

MOSCOW. Sept 5 (Interfax) - Ukraine has signed an agreement with the European Union to join the EU's Fiscalis program promoting cooperation in the taxation field and opposing tax fraud and tax evasion, Ukrainian media reported on Monday.

The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the 8th meeting of the EU-Ukraine Association Council on Monday. Ukrainian Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko signed the document on behalf of his country.

The agreement is intended to ensure Ukraine's involvement, as an associated country, in the EU's Fiscalis program.

Ukraine and the EU also signed an agreement on Ukraine's participation in the EU's Customs program designed to promote cooperation between the relevant customs authorities.
