Ukraine imposes sanctions against over 700 individuals, cos affiliated with Rosatom

MOSCOW. Sept 5 (Interfax) - Ukraine's Cabinet has included more than 700 individuals and legal entities with ties to Russian state corporation Rosatom in the list of persons subject to personal, special, economic and other sanctions, the Ukrainian Energy Ministry reported on its website on Friday.

An order to this effect was approved at a cabinet meeting on Friday at the suggestion of the Energy Ministry, the statement said.

Energy Ministry Herman Halushchenko said one of the individuals included in the sanctions list is Russian expert Renat Karchaa, who helped guide International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors around the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant during their visit to the plant on Thursday.
