IAEA to publish report on mission to Zaporizhzhya NPP on Sept 6 - TV
MOSCOW. Sept 5 (Interfax) - Specialists from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) are planning to present their stance on results of the visit to the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant on Tuesday, September 6, a correspondent of the Rossiya 24 television channel (VGTRK) said.
"All of their conclusions will be presented in a report, which, according to the preliminary information, is due to be released tomorrow, when [IAEA Director General] Rafael Grossi speaks," the correspondent said on Monday.
The IAEA mission visited the nuclear power plant in Enerhodar on September 1. Some members of the mission, including Grossi, left Enerhodar in the evening of the same day, while some IAEA experts kept working at the power plant.
Vladimir Rogov, a member of the Zaporizhzhya region's military-civilian administration, said yesterday that IAEA mission members will remain at the Zaporizhzhya NPP until September 5 but may extend their stay at the nuclear facility.
The Zaporizhzhya NPP is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe. It operates six VVER-1000 power units, the first of which was put into operation in December 1984 and the sixth in October 1995.
