U.S. stands ready to assist Kazakhstan in ambitious reforms - U.S. embassy

NUR-SULTAN. Sept 1 (Interfax) - The United States remains a reliable friend and partner of Kazakhstan and stands ready to assist with largescale reforms, the U.S. embassy to Kazakhstan said.

"The United States remains committed to being Kazakhstan's reliable friend and partner, and we stand ready to assist as Kazakhstan implements ambitious reforms," the U.S. embassy said in a statement posted on social media on Thursday.

"Thank you, Mr. President [Kassym-Jomart Tokayev] for a productive discussion of U.S.-Kazakhstan relations with congressmen Jimmy Panetta and Tom Suozzi following today's state of the nation address," the embassy said.

On Thursday morning, Tokayev delivered an address to the nation of Kazakhstan at a joint session of the houses of parliament.
