EU includes another 3 Russian parliamentarians in sanctions lists
BRUSSELS. Sept 1 (Interfax) - The European Union has included in its sanctions lists two State Duma deputies and one member of the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly, the Official Journal of the European Union reported on Thursday.
The sanctions have affected State Duma deputies Alla Polyakova and Anton Tkachev, as well as Senator Valery Ponomaryov.
The report states that the reason for the inclusion of these Russians on the list is their support of the independence of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics.
The restrictive measures took effect on Thursday, immediately after the publication of the report.
