Moscow would like to see synchronous fulfillment of grain deal, but this is not happening so far - Russian Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW. Aug 31 (Interfax) - Moscow would like to see the synchronous fulfillment of the grain deal, but this is not happening so far, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko said on Wednesday.

"We would like both parts of the deal to be in sync, to be working in a parallel manner. Yet, the first part of the deal related to Ukrainian grain shipments from Ukrainian ports is working, while the second part of the deal, the Russia-UN memorandum has been implemented worse. The restrictions hindering Russian grain exports remain in place, no matter what the United States and the European Union are saying," Rudenko said.

This is a matter of foreign ships' calls at Russian ports and Russian ships' calls at foreign ports, restrictions on transactions, and higher insurance rates, he said.
