NEW YORK, UN. Aug 31 (Interfax) - The Joint Coordination Center (JCC) has allowed three ships loaded with corn to depart from Ukrainian ports on Wednesday consistent with the Istanbul food deal, the United Nations said in a statement.
The JCC has cleared three ships carrying a total of 107,000 tonnes of grain and other foods to leave the ports under the Black Sea Grain Initiative, it said.
MV Maran Astronomer (74,500 tonnes of corn) and MV Lady Aillar (27,000 tonnes of corn) will be destined for Spain, while MV Hazar S (5,500 tonnes of corn) will go to Turkey.
As of August 30, 1,445,016 tonnes of grain and other foods have been shipped from three Ukrainian ports. As many as 133 ships have been cleared to date, including 73 ships arriving in Ukrainian ports and 61 ships sailing out, the statement said.
Two documents were signed between the United Nations, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine in Istanbul on July 22 to open a grain corridor from three Ukrainian ports - Chornomorsk, Odesa and Yuzhnyi.
