Ukrgazbank repays UAH1-bln refinancing loan from National Bank of Ukraine

MOSCOW. Aug 30 (Interfax) - The state-run Ukrgazbank in Kyiv has repaid the UAH1-billion refinancing loan from the National Bank of Ukraine ahead of schedule, the bank press service said on Tuesday.

"The state-run Ukrgazbank repaid the UAH1-billion refinancing loan ahead of schedule on August 30. The loan was received from the National Bank of Ukraine this year. It was repaid thanks to the increased attraction of funds from legal entities and individuals this August," the Ukrainian media quoted the bank press service as saying.

Ukrgazbank was founded in 1993. The Ukrainian government, represented by the Finance Ministry, has a 94.94% stake in the bank.

According to the National Bank of Ukraine, Ukrgazbank ranked fifth in terms of assets (UAH139.671 billion) among 68 banks in Ukraine as of July 1, 2022.
