Moscow Exchange lifts ban on short selling Armenian dram, sets penalty rate at 19%
MOSCOW. Aug 30 (Interfax) - The National Clearing Center (NCC) is lifting the ban on short selling for the Armenian dram effective August 30, the Moscow Exchange reported on its website.
A penalty rate of 19% has been set for nonfulfillment of obligations on swap transactions and improper execution of payment obligations for the Armenian dram.
The exchange began trading the currency pairs AMD/RUB and USD/AMD on June 27, but short selling was prohibited.
