Logitech to exit Russia

MOSCOW. Aug 29 (Interfax) - Logitech, a global manufacturer of computer peripherals, is leaving the Russian market due to "an unstable situation," but hopes to return when suitable conditions re-appear, the company press service told Interfax.

"We continued closely following the situation after supplies to Russia were suspended earlier this year. Unfortunately, the circumstances do not allow us to continue doing business as we did before. We have supported our employees all this time, but we have started the process of winding up the remaining business in Russia due to the unstable situation. We hope to return once, and if, suitable conditions become available, after many years of working in the region," company official Ben Starkie told Interfax.

The portal Cnews earlier reported, citing the company's partners, that Logitech was winding up its business in Russia. The report stated that the last working days of the company employees in Russia would be August 31, 2022.

The company suspended the supply of its products to Russia in April over the Russian special operation in Ukraine.

Logitech International S.A. is a Swiss-U.S. company headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland, and Newark, California.
