EAEU countries agree on broader use of national currencies in settlements
CHOLPON-ATA. Aug 26 (Interfax) - Eurasian Economic Union countries signed nine documents, among them an order to broaden the use of national currencies in settlements, during the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Kyrgyzstan, the Kyrgyz government's press office said.
"As a result of the meeting, an order was signed on further efforts to broaden the use of the national currencies of EAEU member states in mutual trade settlements, and an order on financing industrial cooperation in the EAEU," it said.
Orders were also signed on a list of priority integration infrastructure projects in the field of transport, on the timing and venue of the next meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, and on the submission to the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council of a candidate member of the Council and the Board of the EEC.
In addition, instructions were signed regarding a draft agreement on the regulation of the EAEU alcohol market; a draft protocol on amendments to the EAEU Treaty of May 29, 2014 concerning indirect taxes on electronic trade in goods sold to individuals; and a draft agreement on the creation of a Eurasian Reinsurance Company.
