Over third of companies still considering possible relocation by yearend - IT Ukraine

MOSCOW. Aug 26 (Interfax) - Thirty-seven percent of IT companies are still considering possible relocation by the end of 2022, the Ukrainian media said, referring to the "Relocation, New IT Landscape of Ukraine" survey by the IT Ukraine association and the Sayenko Kharenko law firm.

Meanwhile, 23% of companies are planning to combine relocation inside and outside Ukraine, while 14% are eying partial or complete relocation abroad, the survey said.

IT companies largely view the relocation as a forced step for the period of crisis or at least its active phase, the survey said.

Fifty-five percent of IT companies have not been relocated: 25% are working from home and 30% are working both from home and from office, it said.

Most of the relocated IT companies have done so within Ukraine (45%), while 42% of companies have partially relocated abroad, only 5% of have closed some of the offices in Ukraine.

Not a single IT company has fully relocated abroad, and none is planning to shut down business in Ukraine.

According to IT Ukraine, the survey was held among members of the association, which unites more than 120 companies.
