Belarus, Russia could ink $1.5 bln loan for import substitution projects in Sept - first dep PM

MINSK. Aug 23 (Interfax) - The Belarusian government expects to sign a $1.5 billion loan agreement with Russia for import substitution projects in September, First Deputy Belarusian Prime Minister Nikolai Snopkov said.

"Belarus and Russia intend to sign an agreement for a loan of $1.5 billion to carry out import substitution projects at the beginning of September," the state BelTA news agency quoted him as saying.

Snopkov took part in the opening ceremony of the renovated Belarus pavilion at the All-Russia Exhibition Centre, or VDNH in Moscow on Tuesday.
