Ukrainian Defense Ministry appoints Zhukov Ukrspecexport CEO

MOSCOW. Aug 23 (Interfax) - Boris Zhukov, former deputy director general of Ukrspecexport, has been appointed the company's director general as of August 23. Ukrspecexport is a Ukrainian state-owned company for import and export of military and special services.

Zhukov was appointed by an order issued by the Defense Ministry on August 17, Ukrainian media reported, citing data from the information disclosure system of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission on Tuesday.

Along with his position as Ukrspecexport deputy director general, Zhukov has also held a "senior position in the SBU [Ukrainian Security Service]" over the past five years, according to the publication.

Earlier, Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov dismissed Vadym Nozdria as director general of Ukrspecexport and Yevhen Larin as director of Spetstekhnoexport by orders of July 29, 2022.

As reported, Nozdria was appointed general director of Ukrspecexport in January 2020, prior to that he served as director of the Lviv-based public utility Green City.

Ukrspecexport's net profit decreased by around 54.5% year-on-year in 2021 to 122.28 million hryvnias, the net revenue increased by 2% to 2.015 billion hryvnias. The company's net profit fell by around 73% year-on-year in Q1 2022 to 124.66 million hryvnias, while the net revenue more than doubled to 41.24 million hryvnias.
