Net traffic into Ukraine across western border decreases w-o-w - State Border Guard Service of Ukraine

MOSCOW. Aug 22 (Interfax) - Almost 296,000 passengers left Ukraine across the western border on August 13-19, which is almost 18,000 more than the week before, while the arrivals grew by about 13,000 to 317,000, the Ukrainian media said with the reference to a statement released by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine on a social network.

The number of cars crossing the border has grown to 129,000 from 126,000 the week before, while the number of cleared humanitarian trucks has dropped from 468 to 377.

According to the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, 11.15 million people left Ukraine between February 24 and August 16, including 5.439 million for Poland, 2.198 million for Russia, 1.189 million for Hungary, 1.044 million for Romania, 690,300 for Slovakia, 573,200 for Moldova, and 16,700 for Belarus.

Meanwhile, 4.768 million people arrived in Ukraine between February 28 and August 9 (which not includes information from Hungary, Russia and Belarus), the Office said.
