Poland's aid to Ukraine exceeds 3.5 bln euros in 6 months

WARSAW. Aug 22 (Interfax) - Poland has allocated 17 billion zlotys (more than 3.5 billion euros) in aid to Ukraine since late February, head of the Polish prime minister's Chancellery Michal Dworczyk said on Polish radio on Monday.

"Assistance to Ukraine from Polish citizens exceeded 10 billion zlotys (2.1 billion euros), the country's authorities also provided military assistance, which reached more than 7 billion zlotys (almost 1.5 billion euros)," he said.

As previously reported, Poland supplied Ukraine with about 250 T-72 tanks, Grad multiple rocket launchers and self-propelled howitzers.
