McKinsey's former Russian division changes name to Yakov & Partners
MOSCOW. Aug 22 (Interfax) - The former Russian division of U.S. consulting firm McKinsey & Company, which was taken over by Russian management in the spring of 2022, is changing its name from McKinsey & Company CIS to Yakov & Partners.
"We have submitted an application to change the name. We expect the change to be formally made today or on Monday," the company told Interfax on Friday.
Yakov & Partners, which had more than 180 employees as of August, will initially focus on projects in the technology sector, banking services, agriculture, retail and extractive sectors, the company said in a statement.
It also said that the full-fledged launch of the new brand, including updating the website, social media and branding, will take place in several stages and be completed by the end of the year.
