Kyrgyz and Russian premiers discuss steps to deepen integration within EAEU

BISHKEK. Aug 19 (Interfax) - Kyrgyz Prime Minister Akylbek Japarov and his Russian counterpart Mikhail Mishustin discussed issues concerning cooperation between their countries in a phone call, the Kyrgyz government's press service said on Friday.

"Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov and Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin held a phone conversation," the press service said.

The parties discussed key issues of Kyrgyz-Russian cooperation in trade, the economy, culture, humanitarian affairs, etc., it said.

Their discussion also focused on steps to deepen integration interaction within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in light of an upcoming meeting of the Eurasian intergovernmental council, which is due to take place in Cholpon-Ata on August 25-26 under Kyrgyzstan's chairmanship.
