Armenia to mourn victims of shopping mall explosion

YEREVAN. Aug 16 (Interfax) - Armenia has declared two days of mourning for victims of a deadly explosion at the Surmalu shopping mall in Yerevan.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has declared August 17-18 to be days of mourning, the government's press service said on Tuesday.

According to the latest figures from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the explosions last Sunday afternoon killed 16 people, one of whom has yet to be identified. Three people are unaccounted for and 62 were hospitalized, seven of whom continue to receive treatment.

It took firefighters more than two days to contain the blaze at the shopping center.
