Ukraine receives 200-mln-euro interest-free loan from Italy for paying salaries to teachers

MOSCOW. Aug 16 (Interfax) - Ukraine has received a 200-million-euro soft loan from Italy: the 15-year zero-interest loan has a 7.5-year grace period, the Ukrainian media said on Tuesday with the reference to the Ukrainian Finance Ministry.

"The loan will finance the salaries of teachers in general education schools," the ministry said.

As reported earlier, Ukraine and Italy signed the loan agreement on August 5.
