FAS resumes operations of regional headquarters to analyze situation on petroleum products market

MOSCOW. Aug 15 (Interfax) - The Federal Anti-monopoly Service (FAS) has resumed the operations of its headquarters in Russia's regions in order to analyze the situation on the petroleum products market, and the FAS has sent the corresponding instruction to the territorial offices, the department's press service said in a statement.

"The main task is to analyze the cost and inventories of fuel at oil depots in Russia's constituent entities. The regional authorities will also be involved in the work. On a weekly basis, the headquarters of the Federal Anti-monopoly Service of Russia will meet with district territorial authorities in order to control prices for the retail segment of motor fuel. The first meeting is scheduled for August 18," according to the statement.
