Fmr Alfa-Bank Kazakhstan subsidiary Eco Center Bank to merge with Bank CenterCredit

ALMATY. Aug 8 (Interfax) - The shareholders of Kazakhstan -based Bank CenterCredit JSC (BCC) and Eco Center Bank JSC have voted for a merger, BCC said in a press release.

The decision was adopted on August 3 at a joint meeting of the shareholders of BCC and Eco Center Bank.

"The shareholders also made a decision about a voluntary reorganization of Bank CenterCredit JSC and Eco Center Bank JSC (Subsidiary Bank Bank CenterCredit JSC) by joining Eco Center Bank JSC (Subsidiary Bank Bank CenterCredit JSC) to Bank CenterCredit JSC," the press release says.

In early May of this year, Bank CenterCredit completed the acquisition of 100% of ordinary shares in Subsidiary Bank Alfa-Bank, which was renamed Eco Center Bank after reregistration.

Bank CenterCredit and Eco Center Bank ranked 7th and 11th by assets, respectively, among the 22 second-tier banks operating in Kazakhstan as at June 1, 2022, according to the National Bank of Kazakhstan.
