Overall donations for Ukraine via United24 platform top 6 bln hryvni - Zelensky
MOSCOW. Aug 5 (Interfax) - More than 6 billion hryvni have been donated for Ukraine via the United24 fundraising platform, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said.
"People from 110 countries have joined the United24 platform, and the total sum of donations has already topped 6 billion hryvni," Ukrainian media outlets quoted Zelensky as saying on social media.
The president has thanked all people who have contributed to this charity project.
As reported, Zelensky signed a decree on May 17, 2022, establishing the United24 international online fundraising platform. Donations made via this platform are transferred to the National Bank of Ukraine, which subsequently disburses them among the country's ministries, including for defense and humanitarian needs.
