Mir Pay mobile payment service becomes available in Belarus

MINSK. Aug 5 (Interfax) - The Mir Pay mobile payment service has become available in Belarus, the press service for the Mir payment system said on Friday.

"Mir card holders who have smartphones using the Android operating system (at least version 7.0 with NFC support) may now pay for their purchases via Mir Pay both in Russia and in Belarus," the press service said.

"Transactions with the service are supported by the POS terminals of Belcard Belarusian payment system banks which accept contactless cards. The infrastructure accepting Mir contactless cards and the Mir Pay service in Belarus will continue to broaden," it said.
