U.S. sanctions against Skolkovo not to apply to residents - Foundation

MOSCOW. Aug 3 (Interfax) - The restrictions on the Skolkovo Foundation, imposed by the U.S. Department of the Treasury, will have no effect on the Foundation activities and will not apply to project participants, the Foundation press service told Interfax.

"The U.S. restrictions have absolutely no influence on the operations of the Skolkovo Foundation. The Foundation is continuing to perform the functions envisaged by laws of the Russian Federation and to provide services to the fullest extent. Given a number of questions asked, please note that these restrictions do not apply to project participants and their activities," the press service said.

On Tuesday, the U.S. Department of the Treasury imposed restrictions on 13 individuals and 36 legal entities from Russia, including the Skolkovo Foundation, Skoltech, and the Skolkovo Techno-Park.
