Russian cosmonauts to perform spacewalk in middle of Aug - Roscosmos

MOSCOW. July 29 (Interfax) - Russian cosmonauts Oleg Artemyev and Denis Matveyev will perform a spacewalk in the middle of August to work at integrating the European manipulator ERA into the International Space Station (ISS), Roscosmos said.

"Roscosmos cosmonauts Oleg Artemyev and Denis Matveyev, participants in the 67th long-term expedition to the International Space Station, will perform a spacewalk under the Russian program in the middle of August 2022,"the state corporation said.

"While working outside the station, the cosmonauts will continue working on integrating the European distance manipulator ERA in the Russian segment of the ISS. They will assemble elbow-mounted extra view cameras on the manipulator, transfer and switch on the manipulator's external control panel EMMI and will dismantle the launch rings to lighten the manipulator," the report said.

The spacewalk will last six hours and 46 minutes. It will be the 63rd spacewalk made by Russian members of the ISS crew.
