PM adds Reserves Agency to Manturov's brief

MOSCOW. July 29 (Interfax) - Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has made Deputy Prime Minister and Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov responsible for coordinating the activities of the Federal Agency for State Reserves (Rosrezerv), the Cabinet said in a statement.

Rosrezerv was previously overseen in the government by Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.

Rosrezerv manages state stockpiles that are used to provide support to sectors of the economy in the event of disruptions in supplies of key resources, such as fuel for farmers or boiler houses, gasoline for filling stations, industrial raw materials and materials for key production facilities.

Rosrezerv also traditionally participates in managing emergency situations of regional and interregional scale.
