Lithuania willing to join in Ukraine's recovery plan
MOSCOW. July 28 (Interfax) - Lithuania, along with the international community, is willing to participate in the implementation of a plan for Ukraine's recovery, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda said.
"We are helping as much as our capabilities allow," he said in a speech from the rostrum of Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada during a plenary session on Thursday, according to Ukrainian media reports.
Nauseda presented Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky with Lithuania's highest award, the Order of Vytautas the Great.
"It will be a great honor for me today to present the Order of Vytautas the Great with a gold chain to President Zelensky, and along with him to all the Ukrainian people," Nauseda said.
The presentation of this highest Lithuanian state award symbolizes the historical unity of the Ukrainian and Lithuanian peoples, he said.
