U.S. provides another $74 mln in humanitarian aid for Ukrainians - Ukrainian Ambassador to U.S. Markarova
MOSCOW. July 28 (Interfax) - The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has provided another $74 million in humanitarian aid for Ukrainians affected by the crisis, Ukrainian Ambassador to the U.S. Oksana Markarova said.
"USAID allocates an additional $74 million for humanitarian aid to Ukraine," Ukrainian media outlets quoted Markarova as saying on social media.
This additional funding will be spent on providing essential items, temporary accommodation and financial assistance to such people and will also allow them to receive necessary medical care and psychological support, she said.
"These are the priorities that we discussed in detail with Administrator [Samantha] Power during [Ukrainian] First Lady Olena Zelenska's visit to Washington," Markarova said.
