Ukraine took important steps in implementing its reform agenda - EU report

MOSCOW/BRUSSELS. July 26 (Interfax) - The European Union has published its annual report on Ukraine's implementation of the Association Agreement, noting that despite the challenges, the reforms that have been carried out in the country enable it to enter the new phase of its European integration with confidence.

"We will continue to support Ukraine on this path," the European Commission is quoted by Ukrainian media as saying on Twitter ahead of a meeting of the EU-Ukraine Association Council scheduled for September 5. The document deals with Ukraine's implementation of reforms under the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement for the period from the publication of the last report on December 1, 2020 and until February 24, 2022.

"Despite the challenges, Ukraine has taken important steps in implementing its reform agenda. The reforms that have been introduced enable Ukraine to enter the new phase of its European integration with confidence," EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell said in this context.
